Reunion Island could well be the scene of an American super production. While Burma had been chosen as the filming location, COVID-19 crisis decided otherwise. The producers fell back on our island with its extraordinary landscapes.
Reunion Island will soon host the shooting of an American super production, island scout officials announced.
“The Fixers (people responsible for locating filming locations, ndlr) from Reunion Island are super proud to learn that we all have the green lights for the first major American production from Reunion Island”, announced the 'Reunion Island Fixers' page.
According to those responsible for cinematographic spotting in Reunion, it would be to turn, by the end of the year, the movie "Long Gone Heroes" starring actors such as Guy Pearce (The King’s Speech, Ironman 3), Maggie Q (Mission Impossible 3, Divergent) or, Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler's List, Ironman 3). “Honestly, it all happened so fast, and the responsiveness of everyone on the island has been nothing short of phenomenal”, can we still read on the page "Reunion Island Fixers".
“Nothing would have progressed without the hard work of Laurent Médéa and his entire team at Tiktak Production, quick responses, the goodwill and support of Agence Film Réunion, of Nexa, of the Film Commission and the Regional Council, whose funding was a huge incentive for this production to choose our island”, exhibit fixers from Reunion.
Contacted by editorial staff’Outremers360, the Réunion Region has confirmed the information and should communicate about this shoot in October.
