The first rums distilled in Reunion were agricultural rums

The first rums of La Maison Isautier were agricultural rums. An agricultural rum is made from the juice of the cane previously pressed. From 1815, the culture of cane is experiencing a tremendous boom in Bourbon. and sugar exports go from 21 tons in 1815 at 72 000 tons in 1861. The sugar industry will mobilize all the cane available and rum production is now practically made from molasses (traditional rum). The history of Reunionese distilleries is closely linked to that of sweets.

But the Maison Isautier, has never stopped producing agricultural rum, perpetuating a know-how born in 1845 in the lands of the south of Reunion. Fresh, fruity, spicy and finely iodized, Isautier white rums reflect the rich and volcanic lands of Réunion. Particularly aromatic, they retain all the smells of fresh cut sugar cane. Its rich and intense aromas of Bourbon vanilla and candied fruit won it a gold medal at the Spirit Business Rum & Cachaça Masters 2021.

Apart from the gold medal obtained for its Rhum Blanc Agricole, Maison Isautier also distinguished itself in the category of old rums where the 10 years of age won a silver medal. On the liquor side, it was the Arhumatik passion that was named the best product in its category with a Master medal. The Victoria Pineapple Arhumatik and Coconut Arhumatik obtained, as far as they are concerned, silver medals.
